Cleaning & Maintenance
The basics
DESIGNline® must be cleaned regularly whereas the way and effort of cleaning depends on the application and frequency of use. Effective sole-cleaning zones should be incorporated in entrance areas where dirt is carried in directly. This reduces the cleaning costs involved and significantly extends the flooring’s useful lifetime.
Cleaning procedure after conclusion of building work
After removing loose dirt, the adhering dirt is removed by wetwiping or with the aid of cleaning machines. We recommend cleaning agents for PU coated floorings, e.g. CC-PU cleaning agent. Make sure to neutralize the flooring afterwards with clear water.
Routine cleaning
DESIGNline® must be cleaned daily or in longer intervals, as required. Loose dirt can be removed by sweeping, vacuum-cleaning or damp-wiping. For regular cleaning we recommend PU cleaning agents. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions!
Basic cleaning procedure
If DESIGNline® is severely to extremely soiled, a basic cleaning procedure should be performed with the aid of machinery (see “Cleaning procedure after conclusion of building work”).
Initial maintenance / Refurbishment
DESIGNline® is equipped by the factory with a PU coating. Please note that this PU coating is performed for a better protection of the flooring during transport and installation. Furthermore the PU coating is sufficient for DESIGNline® installed in rooms with regular private use. In order to increase resistance and cleaning properties of the flooring for commercial application, we recommend to protect the floor covering with a PU sealer, e.g. CC-PU-Siegel matt. Depending on the frequency of use of DESIGNline® the installed flooring needs to be controlled regularly regarding wear and tear. If necessary make sure to seal the floor with a PU sealer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Stain removal
All stain-forming and aggressive substances must be removed immediately. When treating stains with cleaning agents or stain removals always follow the instructions issued by the cleaning agent manufacturer.
